A wonderful story of two passionate families

A brasserie can be defined as a gathering place where people can enjoy beer and where typical hot and cold dishes are served. It was the result of this meeting between two families that gave rise to Brasse-Temps.

Brasserie Dubuisson and Traiteur Moresto, two family-owned businesses, have joined forces to make Brasse-Temps a unique venue guided by three core principles: Quality, Simplicity, and a Warm, Welcoming Atmosphere.

Founded in 1769, Brasserie Dubuisson—the creator of Brasse-Temps—is the oldest brewery in Wallonia: Eight generations of brewers have succeeded one another in a direct line, making it a brewery that remains 100% independent to this day. In 1933, Alfred Dubuisson created a true Belgian craft beer in the English style, which was very fashionable at the time: Bush Beer, the English translation of Bière Dubuisson. This beer, whose recipe has remained unchanged for 80 years, is therefore one of Belgium’s oldest beer brands still on the market today

Moresto’s story began in 1958 with the purchase of a café and fry shop called “La Cloche” in Mouscron. For more than 50 years, the Coussement family has honed its expertise, becoming a key local player in the restaurant industry. Over the years, the group has expanded with the opening of new establishments such as “Le Passé Simple,” “Le Nano,” and the “Les Charmettes” banquet halls. Moresto’s cuisine features new flavors born from the fusion of traditional cooking and modern tastes: delicious dishes that pair perfectly with the beers on offer.

Le Brasse-temps, a story of shared success

Following the success of the Mons location, Brasserie Dubuisson, in partnership with Traiteur Moresto, has decided to open a new establishment in the “City of Five Steeples.” This is a natural location, as it lies between the two historic birthplaces of the companies: Pipaix for Brasserie Dubuisson and Mouscron for Traiteur Moresto
